No accounts, no personal data
Glostats has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment sections. We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal information about you.
Local storage
Your browser's localStorage is used only to cache public statistics (such as World Bank data series) on your own device so pages load faster on repeat visits. This data never identifies you, never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third-party services
To display its statistics, Glostats makes requests to public data services:
- Your browser requests public data directly from api.worldbank.org (World Bank Open Data) and en.wikipedia.org (Wikipedia). Those requests are governed by the respective operators' own privacy policies.
- Country news headlines are fetched by our server from Google News; your browser talks only to glostats.com for news, not to Google.
Analytics and advertising
Glostats currently runs no analytics and shows no advertising. We reserve the right to introduce privacy-respecting analytics or advertising in the future; if we do, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what is collected and by whom.
