What you can compare
Every pair is compared on 28 indicators grouped into population, demographics & health, economy, environment & energy, digital: population, population growth rate, population density, surface area, birth rate, death rate, net migration rate, urban population, sex ratio, life expectancy, fertility rate, median age, infant mortality, population under 15, population aged 65+, gdp, gdp per capita, unemployment rate, inflation rate, co₂ emissions, co₂ emissions per capita, energy use per capita, renewable energy share, forest area, freshwater resources per capita, water stress, internet users, mobile subscriptions. Each figure carries its data year, the higher (or, for harmful measures, the lower) value is marked, and twelve charts overlay the complete historical series of both countries.
Sources & method: live populations are linear extrapolations of the UN World Population Prospects estimates; all other indicators are the latest values from World Bank Open Data (UN WPP for median age, infant mortality, sex ratio and net migration). Figures are statistical estimates, not census counts. Page generated 2026-10-19. More about our data.
